Had a good time working through the scientific process / method with the kiddos this week. They really understood it. Our experiment was to find out what liquid would dissolve an M&M, water, Sprite or vinegar.
Well, we found out that after 24 non had dissolved. They did discolor and get all strange looking, but none dissolved. We were able to work through our process, find areas we should adjust if we really wanted to find an answer. Some want to try it again. I think they are budding scientist. Or at least they liked eating M&M.
However we did a complentary experiment with gummy bears and got a solid answer. So it wasn’t a complete fail. Can’t wait to really pushing their understanding and hopefully increase their interest in science.
